Hello everyone, I'm z49203.
It seems we have a large number of people who are interested and do not have experience with Tabletop Gaming, or have experience but haven't played in a long time. So for those who are interested in learning how to play or even GM a campaign, I am willing to help in anyway that I can.
For those that are interested I have been playing Tabletop Games for roughly 10 years, and have played systems from AD&D to 4.0 to Maid RPG. I've DMed over 25 long campaigns (10+ sessions) and countless one off sessions, while playing roughly double that as a PC.
So lets get down to business shall we?
What am I willing to offer?
1. Private one off campaigns (Generally 1-2 hours in length, and quickly introduces you to the rules and generally play of a system)
2. Q&A (If anyone has a quick question that can be answered in text, send me a message and I will answer as concisely as possible)
3. Voice chat (If anyone has several questions which would either be difficult to understand in text or requires a more in depth explanation)
What do I ask in exchange?
1. Please have a basic understanding of what it is you want answered. (It is easier to answer 'How do I create a character?' Than 'You know those things I need in order to play the game?')
2. Understand that I am human. (I will fumble over my words and have to restate my answers if I misword them, I may speak english but it is not my primary language anymore)
3. Patience (I cannot answer everything right away, it will generally take 1-2 days to get back on long questions or scheduling campaigns)
How To: Private Campaign
If you are interested in having me discuss or teach you a system please send me a message with:
1. Your Name and contact information (Skype user name, as it will be the chat system we will be talking over)
2. The system you want to learn (If it is something I have no experience with I will say so)
3. Availability (When you are available, please include Time Zone)
4. Competence Level (Have you played before or do I need to walk you though character creation?)
How to: Q&A
1. Just ask a question below or send me a message
How to: Voice Chat
1. Send me the question or topic over Q&A first
2. If I cannot answer it over text, I will say so and I will provide my Skype contact info
Basic Q&A (Will be updated with the most commonly asked questions)
-What system should I start with?
I would recommend D&D 3.5, you can find all the information you need to play the game right here (http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm) in addition to that, it is simple and quick to pick up.
-Why should I listen to you?
I will admit I am not the be all end all source of information, but I do have quite a bit of experience and love to see people who are interested in these things as much as I am. Also, if I do not know the answer to your question I will admit as much and attempt to point you to somewhere you can get that information (Somethings are up to people that I do not know, as I cannot answer things your DM should explain)
