Ok, guys, let's see if we can make something of this. I'm willing to DM if there's no-one else who will, but I'd love to play as a character instead. I'll pick out some members and we'll form a group, share Skype details, and get ourselves onto Roll20 for a tester session. Please reply here if you're up for joining as a PC or as a DM.
For this, you'll need a headset, a microphone, Skype, a few hours of free time, and a reasonable (or at least reliable) Internet connection.
Let's have fun.

I have everything but a headset. Otherwise I'd totally be in as a player.

I'd be up for it. I am able to DM, if you ever need me to. I also already have a Roll20 account.

No headset shouldn't be a problem, DerpWolf, so long as you get sound some way (and don't leak noise through your mic).
BrownBear, if you're confident in your ability to DM, then please do; I'm shaky at best.

The mic I have is built into my laptop and occasionally makes annoying noise. I'll probably be getting a headset specifically for my computer soon. The one I use for my xbox doesn't fit in this one because of the way its jack is set up.

That's cool, it should be fine.
BrownBear, if you still want to DM, then shall I leave the rest of the arrangements up to you? I can still run a one-off tester session as DM so everyone gets the feel for the game if you like.

Well, I do DM for forum RPs a lot, not as much fo Traditional games, but I can most certainly do it. Do we have any particular game in mind?

I was planning on Dungeons and Dragons, not too fussed which edition. If you want to go for something else, however, then by all means.

Apologies, really should have mentioned that somewhere; didn't realize I hadn't.

Hey guys, I would like to join in as a player, but honestly, I've never played D&D before, so if you got the time to teach me the ropes, I'm game

So long as nobody else minds, I'd be happy to introduce you to the game. Might be largely up to BrownBear, though.

I would suggest DnD 3.5, as aside from earlier DnD editions, it lays out everything a tabletop game can have, you know, things that simpler games might not have. It is a tad bit complex to learn, though.

I would have to learn the rules for 4thE D&D, but I've got Pathfinder down pat already. In case that matters. I haven't played 3.5 in a long time either.
